Friends
Founded in 2000, the Friends’ Association supports the work of the Georg Kolbe Museum in a variety of ways. It funds exhibitions, new acquisitions for the collection, the restoration of works of art, as well as research projects and academic events. Another key focus is the preservation and revitalisation of the museum’s historic site.
The Friends’ Association brings together people who are interested in modern sculpture and wish to promote its study and dissemination. Studio visits, guided tours of the Georg Kolbe Museum and other exhibition venues, as well as excursions, offer opportunities to gain a deeper understanding of the museum’s work and current themes in sculpture.
